BC122 is a high-efficiency fanless battery charger compatible with lead, gel, lithium, and AGM batteries. Batteries should have a nominal voltage of 12 V and a capacity suitable for the charger’s current – always check that the maximum charging current matches the battery specifications before use. BC122 can also be used as a power supply unit.

When a battery is connected and the charger is plugged into mains power, BC122 operates as a battery charger. If the lithium algorithm is selected, the charger can also charge batteries that are not detected at startup.

The DIP switch is used to select the correct charging algorithm based on battery type. When the unit is powered on, the green LED flashes to indicate the selected algorithm. Charging is performed using a combination of constant current and constant voltage, which shortens charging time while protecting the battery, even when continuously connected to the 230 V mains.

When a load is connected, the charger directly supplies the required current, preventing the battery from discharging – as long as the load current does not exceed the charger’s maximum output. If the load is higher, the battery’s charging is reduced by the difference between the load current and the charger output (ILOAD – ICHARGER).
