Victron EasySolar-II GX is a complete solar energy solution that includes the following components:
- A MultiPlus-II inverter/charger
- A SmartSolar MPPT-Tr controller for solar charging
- A GX unit with a 2 x 16 character display.
All of these components are integrated into a single unit, making installation faster and more cost-effective. The screen and Wi-Fi functionality make it easy to display and control system parameters. The screen shows information about the battery, inverter, and solar charge controller. You can also access these parameters via a smartphone or another Wi-Fi-enabled device. Wi-Fi also allows for system settings and adjustments.
The solar charge controller, SmartSolar MPPT, is connected in parallel with the DC connection on the MultiPlus-II inverter/charger. The on/off function of the MultiPlus-II also controls the SmartSolar MPPT.
The GX unit includes the following:
- A BMS Can interface, for connecting to a compatible CAN-bus managed battery (this port is not VE.Can compatible).
- A USB port, an Ethernet port, and a VE.Direct port.
The GX unit controls both the MultiPlus-II and SmartSolar MPPT via VE.Bus and VE.Direct connections.
