The built-in 16,000 mAh battery provides approximately 2 to 2.5 full charges of a modern mobile phone with a 5,000 mAh battery, depending on the phone and charging conditions. This is when you only count on the energy stored in the fully charged battery. The Expedition R40 can also be charged with new energy via the built-in solar panel or hand crank with a dynamo, which can provide additional charging options when you're without access to electricity. The amount of extra energy that can be generated depends among other things on sunlight and how long the dynamo is used.
With Power Delivery of up to 20 W, compatible devices can be fast charged via cable. The power bank also features wireless charging of up to 15 W with magnetic positioning. Integrated USB-C and Lightning cables make it easy to charge many devices without having to bring separate cables.
The Expedition R40 also functions as an FM radio and Bluetooth 5.3 speaker with a built-in 3 W speaker. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is available for private listening.
