Why do I need a gas alarm?
Simply put, it is to protect you and your family from accidents or burglaries. Gas leaks can be extremely dangerous and hard to detect. In cases of burglary in caravans or motorhomes, the police have reported several instances of burglars using narcotic gas to then steal valuables.
Where should I place the gas alarm?
Gas is heavy, so to detect it, the unit should be installed close to the floor. Narcotic gas is lighter, so the unit should be installed near the ceiling instead.
What types of gas am I protected against with these alarms?
Our gas alarms cover Butane, Propane & Narcotic. The most common in Sweden is gas which consists of about 95% propane. Butane can also be sold in Sweden under the name gas. Since the alarms are very sensitive, they also detect other gas forms such as narcotics.
