The battery protection disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is completely discharged, which could damage the battery, or before it has insufficient capacity to start the engine.

BatteryProtect is a one-way device. It can only handle current in one direction, meaning it either supplies power to a load or receives power from a charger, but not both at the same time. Additionally, the current can only flow from the battery terminal to the load terminal. When used with a load, the battery is connected to the battery terminal, and when used with a charger, the charger is connected to the battery terminal.
